The Lake Champlain House (LCH) is centrally located to Montreal, the Adirondacks/Lake Placid Region, and Burlington, Vermont. The close proximity of LCH to Interstate 87, and the Rouses Point/Vermont Bridge make all three destinations a quick, easy car drive. The physical address is 40 Lakeland Drive, Champlain, New York 12919.

The LCH sits on the outskirts of the scenic lakeside Village of Rouses Point, in the northeastern corner of New York.

The Lake Champlain House is located on the peninsula known as (French) Point Au Fer, which is on the New York shore of Lake Champlain.

Lake Champlain (French: lac Champlain) is the sixth largest fresh water lake in the United States, located mainly within the borders of the United States (states of Vermont and New York) but partially situated across the US-Canada border in the Canadian province of Quebec. The Lake is approximately 1130 km² (435 square miles) in area, is roughly 180 km (110 miles) long, and is 19 km (12 miles) across at its widest point. The maximum depth is approximately 400 feet. The lake varies seasonally from about 95 to 100 feet above mean sea level.

-From I-87 going North in New York.

-Take EXIT 42: from exit ramp turn right onto US-11 heading East/North toward Rouses Point/Vermont.

-Turn RIGHT (approx. 4.1 miles) onto Lake St which becomes NY-9B. Continue to follow NY-9B.

-Turn LEFT (approx. 2.1 miles) onto POINT AU FER RD.

-Turn RIGHT (approx. 1.5 miles) onto LAKE LAND DR. 40 Lake Land Drive on the Right.

Directions from the South, Vermont.

-From I-89 going North in Vermont.

-Take EXIT 21: from exit ramp Turn LEFT onto 1ST ST/ VT-78 toward US-7/ SWANTON.

-Turn RIGHT onto GRAND AVE/ US-7/ VT-78.

-Turn LEFT onto MERCHANTS ROW/ VT-78. Continue to follow VT-78.

-Turn RIGHT onto N RIVER ST/ VT-78. Continue to follow VT-78.

-Turn RIGHT (approx. 9.9 miles) onto US-2 S/ THEODORE ROOSEVELT HWY. Continue to follow US-2 S (Crossing into NEW YORK).

-Turn LEFT (approx. 8.9 miles) onto LAKE ST/ US-11. This becomes NY-9B. Be sure to go straight ((do not turn right onto Route 11 heading West)) and continue to follow Lake St. and signs for NY-9B.

-Turn LEFT (approx. 4.8 miles) onto POINT AU FER RD.

-Turn RIGHT (approx. 1.5 miles) onto LAKE LAND DR. 40 Lake Land Drive on the Right.
